The Arab general strike and subsequent violence are what inspired the Peel Commission.
After the commission white paper pissed off pretty much everyone involved, the fighting resumed.
The Arabs and Irgun agreed on one thing by the late 30’s: They hated the British and attacked them almost as frequently as each other to the point where the British imposed Martial Law in 1938.
They’d rather kill each other, but both sides found time to attack the British as well.
Examples of similar attacks, by no means an exhaustive list:
Battle of Anabta in 1936 where Arabs attacked a British convoy.
Multiple attacks on the Kirkuk Haifa Oil Pipeline, which was defended by the Jews before the Irgun attacked it a few years later.
Plenty of railway attacks, assassination of Lewis Andrews, and other fun stuff.
